Assassin's Creed Shadows — Cross-Platform Buying Guide
Assassin's Creed Shadows is Ubisoft's 2025 entry set in feudal Japan, letting you switch between a shinobi (Naoe) and a samurai (Yasuke) across a large open world.
Standard vs Ultimate
- Standard — the full game
- Ultimate — adds a season pass for post-launch story drops and a bonus quest; buy only if you'll play the DLC
- Cross-play — no cross-play for the campaign, but cross-progression via Ubisoft Connect
Where to buy cheapest
A 2025 release, Shadows' key-store price on Green Man Gaming undercuts the Ubisoft Store and console stores. Watch for the first sale window a few months after launch.
Prices change frequently — always verify on the store before purchasing.
