Editions explained
- Standard — the entire main game; there is no paid story DLC
- Deluxe / Collector's — art book, soundtrack, and cosmetic DLC; no gameplay advantage
Importantly, BG3 has no paywalled expansions — the Standard edition is the complete experience. The Deluxe extras are for collectors only.
Platform choice
- PC — best for mods and the tactical camera
- PS5 — excellent console port with split-screen co-op
- Xbox Series — same as PS5; Series S is a bit softer
Where to buy cheapest
